AT&T Launches New $10 Home Phone Plan in Detroit
Detroit -

DETROIT, June 4, 2008 AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced the launch of a compelling new $10 home phone plan designed to help Detroit consumers save money while enjoying the communications and entertainment services they value most.

Beginning today, customers can sign up for AT&T U-verseSM Voice 1000 for just $10 a month when bundled with new AT&T U-verse TV U200 and U-verse enabled AT&T High Speed Internet Pro services. The triple play bundle is available for $99 at www.att.com/detroitdeal. Unlike some cable providers’ offers, the $20 a month discount on U-verse Voice does not end after 12 months. In addition, customers can use the discount to upgrade to U-verse Voice Unlimited and receive Unlimited Calling for only $20 a month.

“We’re bringing down this bundle price so Detroit customers can keep more of their money in their pocket, or spend it where needed. With $240 in annual savings, that equates to almost 60 additional gallons of gas at today’s average just above $4 a gallon,” said Bob Nixon, AT&T general manager for Michigan. “These kinds of savings provide meaningful benefit to consumers who are already trying to make the dollar stretch farther.”

As part of the AT&T U-verse bundle, customers receive advanced features that go beyond many competitors’ offerings, in addition to providing a new level of integration, convenience and control with the simplicity of one billing statement.

AT&T U-verse Voice 1000 includes 1,000 nationwide minutes to any location in the U.S. or U.S. territories, competitive international calling rates and a number of advanced features. AT&T U-verse TV U200 features up to 200 channels of popular programming, an advanced DVR that can record up to four programs at once and be programmed from any PC or wireless phone, plus other exclusive interactive features. U-verse enabled AT&T High Speed Internet Pro provides downstream speeds up to 3 Mbps and upstream speeds up to 1 Mbps.

“Value is a key factor in buying decisions today,” said Nixon. “Consumers are carefully looking at ways to get the most for their money. With a U-verse package, customers get more than just a TV signal, a dial tone and an Internet connection. They get access to Video on Demand movies, access to more than 17,000 Wi-Fi hot spots free of charge, they can shop and bank online, and they can stay in touch around the country— all for a cost that would get a family car to the Upper Peninsula and back several times this summer.”

To support the offer launch, Detroit customers will see a new mass media TV spot, beginning today, that promotes an “unreal deal for real people.” Customers will also notice offer details on display in select AT&T retail locations throughout Detroit. In addition to signing up at www.att.com/detroitdeal, customers may also call 1-866-ATT-4YOU.

With bundles available to match almost any need, AT&T offers the industry’s broadest portfolio of communications and entertainment services.
